Advancing Wellness Standards: Hot Stone & Cold Jade Lava Massage Workshop (April 5–8, 2025)

As part of our commitment to continuous development in the spa and wellness industry, Tarn Tara Spa, in collaboration with Phuket Spa, Wellness and Language School, proudly organized a comprehensive four-day workshop on Hot Stone and Cold Jade Lava Massage, held from April 5 to April 8, 2025.

The training took place at Phuket Spa, Wellness and Language School, a trusted institution known for its dedication to producing high-quality spa professionals. This program was graciously supported through the Phuket Provincial Strategic Budget, under the Department of Skill Development, Region 21 Phuket (สถาบันพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน 21 ภูเก็ต), further highlighting the province's active role in enhancing the competitiveness of its tourism and wellness sectors.

A Specialized Training in Thermal Therapy

The Hot Stone and Cold Jade Lava Massage technique combines the use of heated basalt stones and cool jade stones to promote circulation, reduce muscle tension, and restore energy balance. Throughout the 4-day training, participants were immersed in both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice led by experienced instructors in the field.

The training modules covered:

• Understanding the anatomical and physiological effects of thermal therapy

• Safe handling and preparation of stones

• Placement techniques on energy lines (Sen Sib) and chakra points

• Alternating hot and cold stones for vascular gymnastics

• Combining thermal massage with existing spa treatments for enhanced client satisfaction

This unique therapy, blending Eastern healing philosophies with modern spa applications, is highly regarded in the wellness industry for its therapeutic effectiveness and deep relaxation benefits.

Raising the Standards of Spa Services in Phuket

With wellness tourism continuing to grow as a key part of Phuket's economy, Tarn Tara Spa believes that investing in the skills of local practitioners is essential. The workshop not only empowered participants with new techniques, but also encouraged a deeper understanding of client needs and international service standards.
